TeamSnap Impact is going international!
We were very excited to further our gender equity initiative and provide support for young girls to participate in the Ringette Championships taking place in Calgary, Canada.
For those who may not know, Ringette is a version of ice hockey geared towards participation for girls. The Ringette Championships brought together teams from around the world to compete against each other. In addition to Canada, teams included Sweden, Finland, Czechoslovakia, and the United States. Equipment, ice time, travel, ice hockey can be a very expensive support so TeamSnaps financial support was greatly appreciated by the participants. Our support reduced the cost of participation for three teams allowing them to compete in the event.
“Team Snap is dedicated to creating a world where youth sports are accessible and equitable for all which makes them the perfect partner for Ringette,” said Julie Vezina, Executive Director for Ringette Canada. “TeamSnap has changed the way people manage sports and group activities, helping organizers save time, focus on what matters, and keep participants happy. We know how huge they are in the world of amateur sport and we are delighted that they have chosen to partner with us and support our programs.”
The World Ringette Championships are held every two years. This year we are honoured to host a
special anniversary edition in Calgary to showcase all of our high performance development programs
alongside the main event to celebrate Ringette’s 60th anniversary.
