TeamSnap attended the first-ever Fanatics Fest in New York City, hosting the Kids Zone to create more access to youth sports.
TeamSnap showed up to the first-ever Fanatics Fest in New York City this past weekend (Aug. 16-18) with one goal in mind. Continue our mission. To help as many kids as we can enjoy and grow their love of sports while building lifelong memories.
Throughout the three-day weekend, an event sponsored and run by Fanatics, TeamSnap hosted the Kids Zone. The Kids Zone was an immersive sports experience. It featured basketball hoops, soccer goals, lacrosse sticks, baseball gloves, hockey pucks, footballs, you name it.
“Our partnership with Fanatics has been phenomenal. TeamSnap is a great outlet to provide the best programming in youth sports. Our platform is helping to facilitate great partnerships in connecting the professional leagues with young kids at the base and start of their fandom,” said TeamSnap CEO Peter Frintzilas.
Thanks to growing partnerships with the biggest professional leagues in sports (MLB, NFL FLAG, PLL, Jr. NBA, NHL, MLS Go, and more), we hosted several sports clinics with RCX Sports throughout the weekend. Kids and families could attend the clinics for short lessons and introductions to each of these sports. Many of the clinics included guest appearances from professional athletes. PLL professional lacrosse player Troy Reh ran our lacrosse event.
“I think it’s important that TeamSnap is here at Fanatics Fest. People see the logo, and the name, but to be able to put a face [to this] and [showcase the] actual people behind the product, I think it’s important,” said Lance Lee, TeamSnap Director of Community Impact. “There’s been a steady stream of kids [into the Kids Zone]. To be able to have that personal connection with young athletes, engaging in sport, has been our favorite part of this day.”
