TeamSnap is proud to sponsor Philly Girls Got Game Day, a community event hosted by the Frances J. Myers Rec Center and Philadelphia Youth Sports Collaborative. This year is the second annual Girls Got Game Day and saw dozens of excited girls and their families from Philadelphia join in for a day all about sports, friendship, and community.
There were several sports clinics at the event to encourage girls to try all different types of athletics. The day is focused on giving all girls the opportunity to thrive and addressing the gap that exists for young girls and women in Philadelphia.
“We launched Philly Girls Got Game Initiative to ensure that all girls thrive, not only through sports and athletics, but through programs that really promote youth development,” Emily DeSabato, Program Director Philly Girls Got Game.
TeamSnap’s Director of Community Impact Lance Lee attended the event and participated in some of the mini-clinics with the girls. “TeamSnap is pleased to be a sponsor of the Philly Youth Sports Collaborative “Philly Girls Got Game Initiative.” The goal of the initiative is to get more girls playing and more women coaching,” Lee said.
