Softball teams have said...

  • “THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! I am a rookie coach and I was looking for something intutive to keep my team organized. Your site is the solution! Exactly what I need! Did I say...thank you?!!” — John M.
  • “I just wanted to say, that this is really great and much fun. It helps the Coaches and Team Managers to have everything at first sight. It makes the whole coordination for the season much easier.” — Sabrina O.
  • “I manage a team that has been utilizing TeamSnap's services for over a year. TeamSnap has been extremely beneficial to me as a manager:

    1) Messaging the team -- TeamSnap maintains a list of email contacts for my team. Whenever I need to convey a message regarding our team, TeamSnap enables me to do so without having to type out 17 different email addresses. Rather, I simply 'broadcast' to the team.

    2) Availability -- The biggest benefit of TeamSnap is that it allows the manager to keep track of who can/can't attend a particular game/event. In the past, I would receive phone calls, emails, etc., about whether a particular individual could attend a game. Now, everyone simply logs onto teamsnap and says yes or no. It is a much more efficient system.

    3) Schedule -- TeamSnap allows managers to post the schedule for an entire season, making it easier for everyone to keep track of when games are played.

    4) Fun! -- My team has gotten a lot of mileage out of TeamSnap's photo capabilities. We all enjoy the candid shots that can be posted.”

  • “We are a sports family. Big Time. Between my husband and I, we have coached and managed about 10 teams -- basketball, soccer, softball, and indoor soccer. Our kids usually play 2 sports per season so it helps enormously to be able to log in once and see all the activity for both kids, on one site, at one time. From a manger standpoint, it is incredibly useful when trying to schedule and confirm game times with other teams. The availability tab is the best -- before it took no less than 10-15 emails to settle the upcoming game roster! The parents (and kids) on the team love the convenience and find that it is very quickly adopted- by even those uncomfortable with change. Once setup the parents get really into it, posting pictures, snacks, etc. Everyone thinks I am a genius for setting it up :) and it only took 20 minutes to do!!” — Annie J.
  • “As you can see, we really like TeamSnap. It's made my job as a manger of a team of 15 so much easier because every day before the game, I just go on and check what players are going to be there and them make the lineup accordingly. I have a rule: if your status isn't indicated on TeamSnap, you aren't in the lineup. This way I am not trying to keep track of individual emails from 15 players, calling all of them, etc. I don't know how I managed without it.

We also utilize the statistics feature quite a bit for our softball team. That really makes the season more enjoyable for the players; they can see how they are doing relative to other players, engage in friendly competitions about who can hit the most doubles, etc. Most of our players check the stats after each game. We also have a saying: "TeamSnap doesn't lie." Meaning that, you can't claim you are doing better than you actually are because it's all on TeamSnap.

I also use it to decide the line-up. If someone's been hitting really well lately I will move them up in the lineup, or if they've been hitting poorly I will move them down. This takes the guesswork out of it. I used to just go on instinct but now I don't have to; I have all the numbers right in front of me.”

  • “We have three children all playing at least two sports (some playing three). Managing schedules, events and responsibilities gets confusing and complicated -- especially during the times when seasons overlap.

In the past we've used phone trees, email and hard-copy handouts to coordinate. This is a lot of work for the team manager and coaches. When we set up our own website it was a little better, but things still slipped through the cracks and we had to create a site for each team, each season.

I heard about TeamSnap from a friend who was playing around with the beta. It was a simple task to create a team site, so we built one. At the time softball was just around the corner, so we experimented with the league and softball teams. Tournaments, games, practices, team events, snack schedules -- everything in one place. The coaches loved the Availability tab that makes it simple to see who will be at practice or games. Map links to away games and tournaments were invaluable. The ability to upload photos was a huge hit with the team and parents.

When league softball ended, we immediately created a site to manage the advanced traveling softball team. It was a snap (no pun intended) to setup another team. Plus, we had a place to organize and coordinate hotels, directions and other needed planning for travel to tournaments around the state.

Since then, we have created sites for our kids' baseball, football and basketball teams. Once the team members begin using it, they immediately recognize how simple it can be to keep track of the season. And with our busy schedules, anything that makes life simpler is a welcome addition.

    Thanks for building TeamSnap.”

  • “I can't express enough how thankful we are about your product. Before TeamSnap, we gathered information using email bouncing and spreadsheets making it almost impossible to keep track of all our players information, confirmations, status, uniform requirements, payments. etc.

After Teamsnap, we have been able to concentrate in one place all information regarding our team, from assistance confirmation to pictures and messages from our team or league administration.

This is the easiest way we have come about to manage our team, considering we are an amateur team with over 30 members along our history, the stats page has been a great aid to decide who starts and who waits and it's visible to everyone.

The schedule posting is very useful, also having the ability to setup custom fields has been great to include uniform requirements (number, name, size, etc) and anything else other teams may come up to.

In summary, this is the best way we have found online to keep our team informed and organized, it's simplicity has made it easy to be accepted along our members.”

  • “My wife's soccer team has used TeamSnap for several seasons with much success, so I started using it earlier this summer for the company softball team I manage, I couldn't have been happier. It took away a lot of the guesswork in running the team, while forcing some of the guys on the team who tend to slack be much more accountable without much extra effort from their end. The e-mail function allowed us to set lineups ahead of time, get urgent messages like rainouts in people's hands right away, while allowing us a chance to joke around with each other so things weren't too serious.” — Tim S.
  • “We've just started our second season using TeamSnap for our competitive softball league. Finally having stats available for everyone to view has been an amazing addition to our league, not to mention the increase in bragging rights! From a managing standpoint, it's made my life much easier by allowing players to login and set their availability for each game. I no longer have to make phone calls the day of the game to find out if we'll be able to field a team. The TeamSnap staff keeps adding features that keep making the site better and better!” — Joe B.
  • “I was introduced to TeamSnap about a year ago, by the captain of a men's league hockey team I was playing on. Being the captain of two other teams myself, and having attempted to create and maintain web sites for those teams, despite having only modest web design skills, TeamSnap was like a dream come true for me. It was everything I was trying to do with my web sites (schedule, roster, stats, etc.), and then some. So I wasted no time in getting both of the teams I run set up.

Since then, between all of my hockey and softball teams, at one time, I was using TeamSnap to manage as many as seven teams at once. And I've recommended it to countless others, who are also using it now to manage their teams. It is truly a must-have for any team manager. Without it, you're creating far more work for yourself than you need to. And I cannot recommend it highly enough.”
    — Vincent M.
  • “I have managed sporting teams for many years, and Teamsnap has made a very positive impact for myself and teammates. It has added a fun element to the process and also made organizing much easier. The availability page is the best feature.” — Andrew N.
  • “I was given the link to TeamSnap by a friend...I don't know where he found it. Anyway...I decided to give it a try and see what it could do. Prior to finding TeamSnap I was managing everything with spreadsheets and mailing lists. TeamSnap simplified everything. I was now able to send out team emails, store files and instructions, manage payments and the customizable stats section is unbelievable! It is hard enough managing and coordinating a group of people...but what makes TeamSnap great is that everything is in one place and everyone from the team is starting to get into the idea of using it to communicate and look up information as well. I can only see this getting better as time goes on...it has taken some times for the team to get used to communicating and working this way but now it is growing on them. I look forward to the future of TeamSnap...you guys seem to think of everything. Now if I could only get a regular scorekeeper to help me keep better track of my stats!!!” — Nathan M.
  • “I have nothing but good things to say about TeamSnap. Our team absolutely loves the site. It has a fantastic layout and is very user friendly. I was very happy with how simple it was to input stats for the team. The other sites that I tried were a hassle when it came to the stats, but they were a breeze with TeamSnap. The team loved the photos that could be added, and the schedule and availability sections made it easy for the coach to keep track of who was able to make the games. Also, the support was great. If I ever had a problem or a question, it was always solved quickly. This site was exactly what I was looking for in a team web site. I would absolutely recommend TeamSnap to anyone that is looking to set up a site for their team.” — Jeff S.
